This review describes the reactivity of specially activated alkynes, allenes and alkenes under homogeneous gold(I)-catalysis. It was a great opportunity, and fortunately we were able to do most of the work during the COVID-19 shutdown when we were not busy with lab work. Congrats to the entire team!
